Celebrities, sponsors and those looking for a good scare flocked to the "Premiere Night" of the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Haunted Hayride on Sunday. Tucked away in the woods of Griffith Park's Old Zoo, one of Southern California's most haunted spots, Angelenos escaped city life for a night and enjoyed the "Carnival of Souls," the "Haunted Haymaze" and the main attraction, "The Haunted Hay Ride."
The attraction will be open throughout the month of October and was put together by Thirty One Productions, a company that spreads the word on Animal and Wildlife Preservation, as well as Environmental Conservation.
Actors and musicians were spotted on the black carpet. Pictured below is Zack Silva of the TV Show "Terriers" on FX Networks. We also spotted Gabriel Jarret, who was in the film Frost/Nixon.

We're not going to spoil the ride for you by telling you what we saw. Just know it was fun and frightful. You'll have to check it out for yourself but heed the ride's warning.
The ride's disclaimer reads:
"The Hayride is not recommended for children under 8 years of age. It is a high scare, high startle content experience. The Hayride is not recommended for people with heart or back problems, pregnant women, people prone to seizures or anyone who has an affliction that is made worse by fear, anxiety or flashing lights. Also, this ride is not recommended for anyone with health issues that can be made worse or aggravated by riding this ride. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK."

If orbs are any indication of "spirits" or "paranormal activity," then haunt enthusiasts were right about the Old Zoo being one of the ghost hot spots in L.A.
What are orbs?
GhostStudy.com explains, "Orbs are believed (by many) to be ghosts in the form of balls of light. They are life forms that travel in groups and are believed to be the human soul or life force of those that once inhabited a physical body here on earth. Psychics claim to talk to them on a regular basis, and ghost hunters encounter them quite frequently."
While looking through our coverage of the event, we found an image containing orbs. This is the most we've seen gathered in one spot on a single photograph.
Some think that orbs are simply dust particles captured on film. Here's what GhostStudy.com says:
Overall, the event was fun and if you're up for a scare, the Haunted Hay Ride is your best bet. If you want to bypass the lines, we highly recommend purchasing VIP tickets as you're able to skip to the front of the lines.
