The VANS WARPED TOUR® 2011 has announced a new addition for a portion of this summer’s trek. Paramore will join the tour for the July 14 (Scranton), July 15 (Toronto), July 16 (Montreal) and the July 17 (Hartford), July 19 (Milwaukee), July 20 (Cleveland) and August 9 (San Diego) shows. “So much for surprises,” says tour founder Kevin Lyman. “Word got out that Paramore will be coming back and I couldn’t be more stoked.” Paramore will join previously announced main stage acts including: 3OH!3, A Day To Remember, Against Me!, Gym Class Heroes, and more. Over 1200 fans and industry were on hand to celebrate the VANS WARPED TOUR kick-off party and press conference lastFriday night (March 25) at the newly opened House of Vans--a 24,000 sq. foot indoor skate park and concert venue--in Brooklyn. VANS WARPED TOUR luminaries and friends joined Kevin Lyman and Steve Van Doren of Vans for the revelry including Anthony Civarelli (CIV/Gorilla Biscuits), Todd Friend (H20), Brendon Cohen (Vision of Disorder), artist and curator Arturo Vega, Geoff Rickley & Tucker Rule (Thursday), Matt Watts (The Starting Line), Gabe Saporta (Cobra Starship), and more. Attendees were treated to electrifying live performances from School of Rock, Lionize, Moving Mountains, MC Lars and The Wonder Years, while legendary Vans Skate Team members including Ray Barbee,Christian Hosoi, Jeff Grosso and Steve Alba entertained guests with spectacular skating in the House of Vans bowl (see below). In addition, visual artist Kaves (Lordz of Brooklyn) performed a live art show for the crowd.
