Live Review: Iration Celebrates Last Day of 7-week Tour at The Wiltern Theater

Hawaii-bred Iration culminated their 7-week tour at the sold out Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, Saturday night. Performing their signature reggae, pop and rock songs from their 2010 album, Time Bomb and their latest album, Automatic, fans got a taste of both old and new hits.

Let’s be real, though. There are a few bands that make great recordings who aren't so great live. Iration isn’t one of those bands and they succeed at being great at both recordings and live performances. The show kicked off with, “Automatic” followed by “Turn Around.” Then, as soon as the song ended, front-man Micah Pueschel greeted fans and set the mood for the rest of the night.

“We are the band Iration, we come from the 808 state of Hawaii and we’re proud to be here with you on our final night of the Automatic tour. I’ll tell you straight up, there’s absolutely no better way to finish a 7-week tour than to spend it with you guys at a sold out show at the Wiltern Theater. So, thank you very much. It’s been a long road. We’re happy to be home, we’re happy to spend this night with you guys. Everybody have a good time tonight. Have a drink, have a smoke, have a…whatever you want to do. Keep the vibes positive and love one another,” said Pueschel.

Next on the set list was “Wait and See,” followed by “Electricity,” “One Way Track,” and “Go That Road." Changing it up, the band covered Tom Petty’s, “Last Dance with Mary Jane,” as well as "Jammin'" by Bob Marley and "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes. The audience sang in unison to the songs and danced among the clouds of marijuana smoke, reminiscent to any typical reggae show. The band also performed, "Summer Nights" and then concluded with "Falling." Unfortunately, the band didn't play our new favorite, "Show Off," from the latest record.

For those wondering whether the band’s sound changed due to Kai Rediske's departure, Pueschel holds it down and the band sounded great live. Iration is comprised of Joseph Dickens (drums), Joseph King (Engineer), Cayson Peterson (Keyboard/Synth), Micah Pueschel (Guitar/Vox), and Adam Taylor (Bass).

If you missed the show, we've got a few songs for you to check out (in order of performance):

BEAUTIFUL RIGHTS Gives Women’s Rights Some Real Lip Service

Beautiful Rights is here to give women’s rights some real lip service. This new, cause-driven makeup initiative, founded by renowned makeup artist and product developer, Kristen Therese Leonard, was created to ensure that women’s rights continue to be given their share of voice in our country’s future.

As we enter into 2017, real concerns regarding women’s rights are upon us. Beautiful Rights was created to remind every woman to speak up, and that the responsibility lies within each of us to protect the rights we’ve fought so hard to acquire.

Beautiful Rights will promote women’s rights by donating 20% of all sales (not profits) to organizations that support our causes, such as Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, Emily’s List, Lambda Legal and Legal Momentum. The 20% contribution is set as a reminder of the fact that women in the U.S. still get paid 20% less than men for doing the same work.

Not only will Beautiful Rights fuel great initiatives, it will also provide women with top-of-line…
